Mr. Nitin Gupta has done his graduation in Civil Engineering from Malaviya Regional Engineering College now MNIT , Jaipur. He joined the Income Tax Department as an IRS probationer in the year 1986. In 1988, he started field posting as Asstt. Commissioner of Income Tax in the Department from Rajasthan. Subsequently, he served in various assignments and in various capacities in Mumbai, Delhi and for some small period at Hyderabad. He also worked as Director General in the Competition Commission of India, New Delhi, for a period of more than three years. His vast experience in the department and deputation has been on assessment, investigation, international taxation and in the CBDT as well.
He has been promoted as CCIT in December, 2018 and thereafter worked as Director General of Income Tax Inv. , Mumbai, for about one and half years.
On promotion to the Apex Scale, he joined as the Pr. Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Nagpur and now joined as Pr. DG Trg. , NADT, Nagpur, on 1st December, 2020.
