| Profile: Smt. Anita Sinha Graduated from Patna University and did her LLB while in service belongs to 1990 Batch of Indian Revenue Service and on promotion to the Apex scale of Pr. CCIT, she joined in December, 2025 as Pr. DGIT Training as well as Pr. DGIT HRD , CBDT, Delhi. She started her journey from Chennai thereafter was posted at Patna where she has worked in various charges like business circle, trust circle and TDS conducted lots of successful TDS surveys . In the capacity of Junior AR, she worked at ITAT Patna for three years. She has also worked for 5 years from 2001 to 2006 as faculty member as well course director for two of the batches at the prestigious National Academy of Direct Taxes NADT in Nagpur. She was transferred to Delhi where she worked in Coordination and Company Circle charges. She has also served in Ministry of culture where she had valuable experience with pertaining art and artists and designed scholarships & fellowships schemes. She also oversaw work of national archives and libraries. Thereafter she satisfying experience in the field of media and broadcasting as she joined Doordarshan under Ministry of I&B from 2013 to 2015 where she worked as Additional Director General being the overall in-charge of four popular channels of Doordarshan and worked for enrichment of their content & quality. She also worked on lot of reality shows one of which is Begum Akhtar created content for the programmes. After these two deputations, she worked as CIT Appeals in Gurgaon NWR Region. She further moved to another deputation, as Joint Secretary at the National Human Rights Commission NHRC of India, she worked on enhancement of the Commission's national international engagement i.e Strengthening International Collaborations; Leading International Initiatives; Capacity Building and Leadership; High-Level Representation; Advancing Business and Human Rights. She represented NHRC India at prestigious international forums, including the Human Rights Council, Geneva, and the UN General Assembly in New York, where she delivered impactful statements on critical human rights issues. On behalf of the National Human Rights Commission, conducted the huge Asia Pacific Forum for Human Rights Commission held at Delhi. At the National Human Rights Commission NHRC , she delves into the multifaceted human rights issues faced by the LGBTQI+ community. As a nominated member of the National Council for Transgender Persons under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, she actively engaged with members of the community across India. She conducted extensive field visits to "Garima Grihas," government- funded shelters providing shelter and vocational training to transgender persons. These visits provided invaluable insights into the critical challenges faced by these shelters and their beneficiaries. She also wrote Article on transgender health. Her experience ranges from tax administration, intelligence, enforcement to e-governance, policy making and media. She has also been interested in capacity development and training sector. In her last assignment as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Bareilly, she had a vast jurisdiction of Faceless Assessment and Appeal Units spreading to entire UP from Faizabad, Moradabad, Lucknow, Varanasi, to Haldwani.
