Direct Taxes Regional Training Institute DTRTI , Delhi was established in 2014 as one of the units of the National Academy of Direct Taxes NADT .  The Institute was created to meet the training needs of officers and officials working in the region of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Delhi who till then were being trained in DTRTI, Chandigarh. The Institute is engaged in the task of imparting quality training to various grades of officers and officials of the Income Tax Department, right from the level of Income Tax Inspector to Commissioner of Income Tax. The objective of the Institute is to continuously upgrade skills and build a professional and motivated workforce and thereby help the Income Tax Department achieve its Vision and Mission relating to Human Resource Development. The Institute provides:-

1.   Induction Training to newly recruited ITIs

2.   Orientation Training to ITOs

3.   In Service Training to Regional ITOs to CITs

4.   In-Service Training to Administrative Officers; Sr. PS / PS

DTRTI, Delhi has been assisted in augmenting their training capacity by MSTU, Delhi which also functions from the same premises and imparts:-  

1.   Induction Training to newly recruited TA/ST II/Driver; MTS

2.   Orientation Courses for NS/LDC

3.   In Service training to ITIs and ministerial staff EA and below.
