N.P. SINGH,  Director General (Trg)

           Shri N.P. Singh is an officer of the 1975 batch of the Indian Revenue Service. He is a postgraduate in English Literature from the University of Punjab and attended the coveted diploma programme in Public Finance and Management from the International Institute of Public Administration, Paris from July, 1987 to July, 1988. During his long stint in the Department, he has undertaken various assignments and worked at various places in the North West and the Karnataka Regions. He has flair for investigation and worked as DIT(Inv), Bangalore. He also headed the DTRTI, Bangalore as Addl DIT from May, 1995 to July, 1997. Prior to his posting to NADT, he worked as CIT-I, Bangalore. Apart from being able tax administrator, he is also a keen sportsman with Badminton as his favourite game. His wife, Smt Parminder Kaur is the home maker and he has two daughters and one son.

M. TIRUMALA  KUMAR, Additional Director General-II

           He is an officer of 1985 batch of IRS and hails from the city of Rajahmunndry in the state of Andhra Pradesh.  He has done M.A. (Applied Economics) from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. Before joining the NADT in 2007, he was working as DIT (International Taxation), Kolkata. He served in the Department in various fields like assessment, investigation, vigilance, central, computer operations, transfer pricing etc. Earlier, he also worked in the training sector as Assistant Director at DTRTI, Bangalore. He has done in-depth study of the public relations in the Income Tax Department and practical aspects of search and seizure assessments. He visited Canada in 1997 to attend ADB sponsored course on capacity building of revenue administration.

           Apart from being an economist by training and a taxman by profession, he is a progressive poet and enthusiastic social activist by inclination. He is a renowned writer of Telugu literature. He authored an anthology of Poems, "Poola Vaana" (Shower of flowers) and wrote a biography; "Mana Vavilala" on the life of late Padmabhushan Vavilala Gopalakrishnaiah, a renowned freedom fighter. Recepient of Dr. V. S. Krishna Fellowship from Andhra University, Waltair and special incentive scholarship from the Directorate of Backward Classes Welfare, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, he was awarded Dr. Vavilala Gopalakrishnaiah Puraskar by Rotary Club of Rajahmundry in 2003 for his outstanding services to society. His essay on Padmabhushan Dr. Vavilala Gopalakrishnaiah has been included in the non-detailed Telugu text for tenth class by the Government of Tamil Nadu in 2001.  He was the executive committee member of Hyderabad Study Circle and also served as honorary secretary of the study circle. He is also invited as guest faculty by the AP Study Circle and  A.P. Study Circle for B. Cs to train candidates aspiring to enter civil services. He is the founder of SAMATA SEVA SAMITI, a voluntary organisation for youth development. He is instrumental in starting the A.P. Study Circle for B. Cs. at Rajahmundry by the A.P. Government in 2003. He is also life member of Amarjeevi Potti Sreeramulu Memorial Society, Chennai  and a founder Member of Telugu Samiti, Hyderabad.

            His wife, Mrs. Kusuma Kumari is a home maker and his daughter, Ms. Soujanya is doing her B.Sc. (Bio Technology).

ASHOK KUMAR JHA, Additional Director (Fac) & CD, 61st Batch of IRS

            He belongs to the 1990 batch of IRS and hails from the state of Bihar.  He has done MA in International Studies from J.N.U., New Delhi.  Before joining NADT in 2006 was posted as Addl. CIT (Hqrts), Patna.  Prior to this he has worked as Addl. CIT (Sr. D. R. ITAT), Kolkata, Addl. CIT, Range, Kolkata.         He has worked as ACIT, Circle, ADIT (Inv), Dy. DIT (In) (Hqrts) in Kolkata.  He has done a course on capital markets in Mumbai and a course on Management in Govt. in Nainital. 

             His wife Ms. Sushma Jha is a housewife and he has got daughter Ms. Nidhi and a son master Piyush. He likes playing Badminton and Billiards.

G M DOSS, Additional Director (Faculty)

           He has graduated from Madras Veterinary College during the year 1988 and obtained degree in B.V.Sc.  He was serving as Veterinary Assistant Surgeon in Tamilnadu Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry Department prior to joining Indian Revenue Service.

            He belongs to 1990 Batch of IRS and has served in places such as Bangalore, Mangalore and Chennai.  He has wide work experience in the Income-tax Department.  He has worked as ACIT/DCIT in Salary circle, Business circle, Company circle, ACIT(Inv.), ADIT(Inv.) and was promoted as Joint Commissioner of Income-tax in the year 2001.  As Jt.CIT/Addl.CIT he has headed Business range, Central range and Company range.  Prior to his posting as Additional Director (Training) at NADT, he was working as TPO at Chennai.  Presently he is the Course Director for the 60^th batch of IRS who are currently undergoing Induction Training at NADT.

            He has undergone training in various subjects such as Investigation and Prosecution, valuation of immovable properties, stock market, prevention of tax fraud, intelligence gathering and trade craft, International Taxation, Management course for JCsIT, block assessments, vigilance and Transfer pricing.  He is a keen sportsman and a swimmer.

            He is married and has two sons namely, Master Arav Abboy and Master Manav Doss who are aged 5 years and 3 years old respectively.  His wife is Mrs. Tripura Sundari, belongs to 1995 Batch of IRS and is presently posted as Joint Director (Planning & Research)-II, NADT, Nagpur.

SUNIL SHARMA, Additional Director

              Shri Sunil Sharma is an officer of the 1992 batch. He has done his B.E in Civil Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering. He has also done Masters in Public Management from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy of National University of Singapore. He has worked in various assignments like assessment, investigation, systems and HRD before joining NADT. He is a keen sportsmen and a keen observer of capital markets. His wife Smt Anumeha Sharma is post graduate in public administration and he has two children, Master Aviral Sharma and Master Ateev Sharma, who are studying in primary school.

B VENKATESWARA RAO, Additional Director (Fac)

              He belongs to the 1993 batch of IRS and hails from the State of Andhra Pradesh.   He is a MA in Sociology from Osmania University Hyderabad and has done diploma in Mining Engg. from Govt. Polytechnic Gudur (AP). PG Diploma in Personal Management, Industrial relations & Labour Welfare from AP productivity Council.  

              He has worked as ACIT Circle, Chennai, Dy. CIT (Inv), Chennai, Dy. DIT, Chennai and on promotion as Jt. CIT Tambaram Range before being posted at NADT in 2006.  he has attended a course on liasoning and Finance Companies for AOs in RTI, Bangalore, course on preventing tax fraud at NADT, Course on DDIT’s Southern States in RTI, Bangalore, E-commerce in RTI, Bangalore and understanding capital markets in UTI Institute of capital Market, Mumbai.     His wife Ms Vani Bhoopathi is self-employed and he has a daughter Ms Sahithi and a son Master Sathvik.

RAJESH KEDIA, Joint Director (Faculty) (at present on Study Leave)

            A commerce graduate from St. Xavier college ,University of Kolkata, he has completed C.A. from the Institute of Chartered Accountancy of India, Cost Accountancy from the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India; and C.S (Inter) from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

           An officer of 1995 batch of IRS. On completion of training, he was posted to Mumbai region, where he had worked in various capacities with business circles, corporate charges, Investigation wing, central circles, and share broker circles. He joined at NADT in April 2005 as Dy Director (Training).

           Married to Swati kedia, a housewife, he is blessed with a son, Master Naman Kumar and a daughter, Shreya. He is native of Araria, Bihar.

           Besides special interests in share market analysis, weekend travel and excursions, he loves playing badminton and carroms.

Dr V K SINGH, Joint Director (Admn) 

             Dr V.K Singh is an officer of 1995 batch of IRS. He has worked in the Department in various capacities including a stint in CBDT as Under Secretary. He was also on Deputation to WHO. From July 2006 to July 2007, he attended the Master's Course in Public Policy at the Lee Kuan Yew University of Singapore.

C. TRIPURA SUNDARI, Joint Director (P&R) - II 

         She has done her BA (Maths) from S P W College, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. She is a Gold Medallist and University topper. She has also done PG Diploma in Computer Applications from NIIT. 

          She belongs to the 1995 batch of IRS and worked in the assessment of business, corporate and central charges as Assistant/Deputy Commissioners at Bangalore, Mangalore and Chennai. She was promoted as Joint Commissioner of Income Tax in the year 2006 and worked in the Media Range, Chennai prior to joining the Academy in April 2007. Her spouse, Dr G.M Doss is Addl Director (Faculty) at NADT. They have two sons, Master Arav (5 years old) and Master Manav Doss (3 years old).

SUDHIR VISHWAMBHAR BHAVE, Deputy Director (P&R)

              A Science Graduate, he joined the Department as Inspector in 1975.  He got promoted as an ITO in 1988 and later as Assistant Commissioner of Income tax in 2001.  He has held various assignments at Nagpur as ITO in Assessment, Recovery, Audit and TDS.  He joined the Academy in February, 2002. His hobbies are Music, reading, Trekking and Cooking.

R. MOHAN KUMAR, Assistant Director (Admn) 

              He is a post graduate in commerce and also LLB.He joined the Department as Inspector in 1984 and was promoted as Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax in 2005. He has expertise in vigilance matters, investigation, TDS and functions at headquarters. He has keen interest in martial arts, reading fiction and playing outdoor games.

          His wife, Smt Geeta Nair is a home maker and his daugters Meghna and Manasa are studying in class XI and class II respectively.

K.P.R.R Murty, Assistant Director (Fac)

            He is a Graduate in Arts from Mumbai University. He has joined the department in department in 1988 and was promoted as Income Tax Officer in the year 1994. In these two  cadres he has worked in various areas/charges of the department such as Corporate, Non-Corporate, Head quarters, recovery etc. Thereafter in the year 2005 he was promoted as Asstt. Commissioner of Income Tax and up till 2007 (before joining NADT), he worked as ADIT in the Investigation Wing of the Mumbai Region. He has deep and abiding interest in Religion and Theology. His wife is a homemaker, daughter is in Ninth Std and son is in Fifth Std".

RACHEL TITUS, Assistant Director (OL)

              Born on 20-08-1949 in Kanpur, UP, She did her MA in Political Science from Christ Church Degree College, Kanpur in 1970 and MA in Hindi Literature in 1981 from Nagpur University. She worked as a teacher in Lalitbai Murarka Girls High School, Wardha for one year. She joined Income Tax Department in the year 1974 as Sr TA and rejoined as Senior Hindi Translator in 1983. She worked as Assistant Director (OL) in NADT, Nagpur from January 1987 to April 1991 and in the office of CCIT, Vidarbha from April 1991 to August 2005.
